Breast Reconstruction Reduces Emotional Loss of Mastectomy

Having a breast surgically removed can be frightening, even though you know it's the best option. It can also result in feelings of loss, anger, frustration and dismay. Women may no longer find themselves attractive, or fear that their partner won't. Clothes may not fit the same way. The shock of waking up from surgery "breastless" can be as bad or worse that the shock of the diagnosis itself.
