Learn About Preventing Breast Cancer

Reducing Breast Cancer Risk May Be the Closest Thing to Prevention

A single absolute technique for preventing breast cancer continues to allude researchers. While we would all like to know there was something we could do to guarantee we'd never get cancer, the fact is that any one of us could be diagnosed at any time. But it's also true that not all of us will get breast cancer. The best defense is to learn as much as possible about preventing breast cancer and take all possible steps to do so. Remember that new research is being conducted every day, so it's worth staying on top of current prevention news. As of now, scientists recommend lowering your risk factors by staying slender, exercising, eating fruits and vegetables, and avoiding (or limiting) alcohol consumption. Of course, some women will do all these things and get breast cancer anyway. The key to prevention will someday be discovered, but in the meantime, live healthy and keep on top of your screenings.
