Taking Action as a Breast Cancer Survivor
Many breast cancer survivors find that they want to volunteer for cancer-related causes as a result of their experience.
Survivors play a critical role in the progress being made in lowering breast cancer rates and mortality worldwide.
If you want to help put a face on breast cancer, you can start by calling a volunteer organization, like the Susan
G. Komen Foundation, or a local breast cancer support group in your community. You can get details from your doctor's
office or hospital. Any role you choose to play, small or large, will make a difference for other patients and survivors.
